# FAQ

### What makes Dolomite unique?

Dolomite is a modular money market designed for capital-efficient borrowing, lending, and strategy management. Its virtual liquidity architecture allows supported assets to retain features such as staking, voting, vesting, and rewards while they are used in Dolomite positions.

Learn more in the [Dolomite overview](/dolomite.md).

### Which networks does Dolomite support?

The Dolomite app currently supports Ethereum, Arbitrum, Berachain, Mantle, and X Layer. Available assets, rates, liquidity, and product features vary by network. The app's network selector is the current source for network availability.

### Why might a withdrawal be unavailable?

Withdrawals require enough unused liquidity in the selected market. If most supplied liquidity is being borrowed, the full requested amount may not be immediately available. Rates may change with utilization, but they do not guarantee when liquidity will return.

See [Withdrawing from Dolomite](/guide/withdrawing-from-dolomite.md) for current guidance.

### Where does Dolomite governance happen?

Governance proposals are discussed in the [Dolomite Governance Forum](https://discord.com/channels/945099853929795607/1409549788969697554). Formal votes are held on [DVote](https://dvote.ai/space/dolomite), formerly BeraVote.

### Is Dolomite safe?

Dolomite has published independent smart contract audits, but no protocol is risk-free. The [Audits & Security](/audits-and-security.md) page lists Core audits by OpenZeppelin, Bramah Systems, SECBIT Labs, and Cyfrin, and Modules reports from Zokyo, Guardian Audits, and Cyfrin. Audit scopes differ and do not guarantee safety. The published [Bug Bounty](/bug-bounty.md) policy provides monetary rewards for eligible vulnerability reports. Read [Risk Management](/risk-management.md) before supplying assets or borrowing.

### Can I borrow USD1?

Yes, USD1 borrowing is enabled on Ethereum, according to the Dolomite API checked on October 13, 2026 (UTC). USD1 was not listed on Arbitrum, Berachain, Mantle, or X Layer in that check. Availability depends on liquidity, borrowing caps, and your position's collateral. Check the [live app](https://app.dolomite.io) for current availability and review [Risk Management](/risk-management.md).

### How does Dolomite compare to Aave?

When comparing Dolomite with Aave, consider Dolomite's support for a broader range of assets, isolated borrow positions, and collateral that retains native yield and features. Supported collateral can keep earning native rewards while securing a loan, as explained in [Dolomite Balances](/dolomite-balances.md). Dolomite can hold coll ateral and debt in separate subaccounts for different borrow positions, as illustrated in the [protocol overview](/dolomite.md#what-makes-dolomites-architecture-special). This position separation is distinct from asset-level Isolation Mode. Dolomite's architecture supports non-standard assets and their native functionality; see [broad token support](/dolomite.md#what-is-broad-token-support) and the [Markets](/markets.md) reference. Additionally, broadly speaking, Dolomite can support a wider range of assets than are able to be supported on Aave. These are features to compare, not claims that Aave lacks yield-bearing collateral or that either protocol is safer. Asset availability and restrictions vary by network.
